The placement of 5" squares looks patchwork at first glance.
You don't see the gradient color range until the quilt
is quarter folded. That is the beauty of this design.
greens, oranges, browns...
black, grays, reds...
browns, greens, gold...
navy, blues, greens and burgundy.
The back is Robert Kaufman "widescreen", cross hatch print in yarrow or golden yellow with a checker board design spliced in near the top from additional 5" squares.

Love your use of the gradient colour placement.... and especially the use of those plaids. The backing and straight line quilting are very calming. Lovely snugly looking finish!
Thank you Lorna. I need to bring myself to work with one of your lovely patterns. Maybe someday when I become a grandma I will have inspiration to do an animal parade quilt with your cute patterns. Since I have oodles of squares already cut out my goal is to chip away at my stash before I start down another design path.
Thanks again,
Lisa
Front and back that is wonderful!! The simplicity of the squares with the gradient to keep your eye moving all over the quilt is wonderful. Love this one it really caught my eye.
Hi Sue,
My sister first looked at it on her iphone and thought it was pixelated. I am amazed on how many designs start with simple squares.
Thanks for the compliment,
Lisa
