The placement of 5" squares looks patchwork at first glance.
You don't see the gradient color range until the quilt
is quarter folded. That is the beauty of this design.
greens, oranges, browns...
black, grays, reds...
browns, greens, gold...
navy, blues, greens and burgundy.
The back is Robert Kaufman "widescreen", cross hatch print in yarrow or golden yellow with a checker board design spliced in near the top from additional 5" squares.
